1. Installation

1.1 Qlik Sense Server
  1. Download the .zip file from the link provided your eMail.
  2. Visit the QMC on of your Qlik Sense Server.
  3. Import the .zip file in your extension tab.
  4. Open Qlik Sense and add the 'Vizlib Pivot Table' extension to a sheet.

1.2 Qlik Sense Desktop
  1. Download the .zip file from the link provided your eMail.
  2. Extract the .zip file to your default extension folder (documents/qlik/sense/extensions) in Qlik Sense.
  3. Open Qlik Sense and add the 'Vizlib Pivot Table' extension to a sheet.

3. Extension Settings:


3.1 Dimensions

The Vizlib Pivot Table supports an unlimited number of dimensions.

  • Calc. Condition
    Determines whether or not the dimension is included in the Vizlib Pivot Table. You can use Qlik expressions here.
  • Dimension Position
    Determine whether the dimension is positioned at the left or the top of the table structure.
  • Background Color
    Determine the background color of the dimension values. You can use Qlik expressions here.
  • Font Color
    Determine the font color of the dimension values. You can use Qlik expressions here.
  • Dynamic Styling
    Here you have the ability to determine dynamic styling for individual dimension values. By specifying the dimension values (multiple ones using a comma separation) you can individually style certain lines differently.

  • Totals
    Show or hide the totals for the particular dimensions, with the ability to rename Totals.

3.2 Measures:

The Vizlib Pivot Table supports unlimited measures

  • Calc. Condition
    Determines whether or not the dimension is included in the Vizlib Pivot Table. You can use Qlik expressions here.
  • Representation [Text|Indicator]
    Choose from different representation types for your measures:

    Text:
    Display the measure value as plain text.

    Indicators:

    Vizlib Pivot Table

    Set a threshold (supports Qlik Expressions) against which each measure value is benchmarked against. If the measure value is above the threshold the first icon is displayed, else the second, or, if it stays equal, the third one.
    You also can define your icons based on expressions, to, e.g., use more than three icons.

  • Font Color
    Determine the font color of the measure values. You can use Qlik expressions here to dynamically style the font color.

  • Font Size
    Determine the font size of the measure values. You can use Qlik expressions here to dynamically style the font size.
  • Font Style
    Determine the font style of the measure values.
  • Background Color
    Determine the background color of the measure values. You can use Qlik expressions here to dynamically style the background color.
  • Borders
    Determine the cell borders of the measure values. You can use Qlik expressions here to dynamically style the font borders.
3.3 Sorting

The sorting section permits you to define the sort order for each dimension in the pivot table.

3.4 Data Handling

Data Handling section gives you control over when the Pivot Table is calculated and whether you wish to display or hide zero values.

  • Show Zero Values
    Hides or shows rows/column where all entries are 0s only.
  • Calculation Condition
    Only calculates the Pivot Table if this condition is true.
3.5 Pivot Table Settings

The Pivot Table Settings sections provides you with options to control the structure and design of the Pivot Table

  • Height
    Define the height of the Pivot Rows (positioned left)
  • Indent Row
    Select if you wish the second level of a pivot table to be indented, or to be displayed as a separate column right next to it.
  • Indentation margin
    If indentation is active, here you will have the ability to define the margin/white-space of the indentation.
  • Always fully expanded
    This options fully expands all dimensions of the pivot table
  • Column Size
    Determine the size of the columns in the Pivot Table.
  • Left Dim Size
    Determine how much space the dimensions positioned on the left in the Pivot Table will have in total.
3.6 Appearance

The column and rows definition styles the dimension/measure buttons in the Vizlib Pivot Table

Header Cells

This section styles the header of the top positioned dimensions in the Vizlib Pivot Table.

This section styles dimension values of the left positioned dimensions.

This section styles dimension values of the measure values.

4. What's new?:

v1.1 20/07/2018

New Features:

  • New pixel perfect export to excel, where it maintains coloring, style and format, for the visible rows of the pivot.
  • Added option to individually control the text alignment of measures.
  • New performance and data limits enhancements on the pivot (requires to recreate from scratch if the pivot was added previously).

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed border styling around null cells.
  • Fixed some styling properties around the expanded mode.
  • The pivot header was not properly aligned in FireFox.

5 Known Limitations
  • Vizlib Pivot Table does not support native PDF/PPT printing.
